Membership fees

NEW APPLICANTS FOR MEMBERSHIP

All new Professional and Enterprise applicants are charged their Membership Fee and an application fee of $50. This application fee is a one-time fee charged when applying for your new membership. 
Eligible members can change their membership type at any time during their 12-month term at a scaled fee.

RENEWALS

Our membership term runs 1 July - 30 June, with payment for renewal due each year by 30 June. All renewals after the grace period (14 days) will be treated as a new application and will therefore be required to pay the application fee.

Introduction to Membership

Cost: $190 (6 month term)

Are you exploring a career in professional organising? The Introduction to Membership offers a low-commitment entry point for individuals who want to learn about the industry, access foundational resources, and explore whether professional organising is the right path for them.

This membership is intentionally designed as a starting point - supportive, informative, and exploratory.

Who is this for?

  • Those considering professional organising as a career
  • Individuals wanting to learn about professional organising and understand the fundamentals before launching a business
Please note: The Introduction to Membership is a one-time offering, available only to first-time IOPO members. It is not available to current or former members.

Professional Membership  

Cost: $540 (Annual upfront payment)
    or   $600 (Annual in 12 monthly instalments)

Whether you are just starting your journey as a professional organiser or have years of experience in the industry, the Professional Membership provides you with the resources, credibility, and supportive community to grow and sustain your business.

Insurance Requirement

We promote a standard of excellence and credibility in the industry, and encourage all Professional Organisers to hold appropriate insurance to protect both themselves and their clients.

* It is a pre-requisite for Professional Members wishing to have an active Find an Organiser Directory listing to have a minimum of Public Liability insurance; both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity is preferred. Professional Members who employ staff are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the Worker’s Compensation obligations applicable in their region. Please refer to the appropriate WorkSafe authority for up-to-date information and compliance requirements:

Enterprise Membership  

Cost: $790 (Annual)

For businesses of 2 or more people.

The Enterprise Membership is designed for teams. It covers the business owner plus one team member - either a partner or employee - for a single annual fee of $790. Additional team members can be added at any time at $79 each. The Enterprise Membership provides tailored support and benefits for business owners and their team members, and is ideal for businesses looking to connect their team with the IOPO community, resources, and professional development opportunities, while managing everything under one enterprise account.

  • Businesses employing multiple organisers
  • Established organising companies
  • Those seeking additional marketing and networking opportunities

  • Up to three listings in the IOPO Find an Organiser™ Directory (1 x Business Listing and up to 2 x Nominated Representatives)
  • Enterprise Member Badge
  • Opportunity to add team members on an individual basis ($79 per person), providing them with access to specific resources, custom training and professional development opportunities

  • Conference group booking discount
  • Access to IOPO group training and workshops (COMING SOON)

Insurance Requirement

Enterprise Members must hold appropriate insurance to protect themselves, their clients and their employees.

It is a pre-requisite that Enterprise Members have current Worker’s Compensation and a minimum of Public Liability (both Public Liability and Professional Indemnity is preferred). If you are not currently insured, you will have the opportunity to purchase the IOPO PL&PI Insurance policy while submitting your membership application. Sabbatical Member

Cost: $120 (Annual)

For current members who have held Professional Membership continuously for two or more years, and are pausing their business for personal or professional reasons and are wanting to maintain their connection with the IOPO community.

Who is this for?

  • Those taking maternity or carer’s leave
  • Those taking an extended break from business, but wishing to remain engaged
  • Those temporarily putting their PO career on hold while maintaining industry connections
  • Those intending to retire but wanting to stay connected to the IOPO community

Benefits:

  • Stay in the loop with industry news and developments
  • Maintain industry connections in your professional organising community
  • Continue contributing to the industry in a meaningful way

We understand the unique challenges small business owners - especially women - face. The IOPO Sabbatical Membership allows you to remain part of the professional organising network while stepping back from active business operations.
